Something about Car Art

Post by Michele Hernandez »

I was told to move my post to off-topic, which isn't surprising since half of what I say is as such. It got erased, so I won't try to re-formulate it.

One time near Berkeley I saw a guy driving down the road with a huge bird sculpture on the top of his car. He looked like John Belushi, and I thought I actually knew him, but I think I was mistaken. (Because I used to know this guy who acted like John Belushi, and had the same basic appearance as him). So here is a link.

My favorite ones are the Cadillacs:

I think it is off-beat and creative, and that's why I like it.

Did you know that John Belushi once knocked on the door of a stranger, said, "Do you know who I am?" , then he went in the guy's refrigerator and made a sandwhich, and then asked to crash out on the couch. Dan Aykroyd tracked him down, because they were looking for John to shoot a scene, and found him sleeping on the guy's couch.

Is that where they got the idea for the SNL skit called "The thing that wouldn't leave"? That was so funny. John would go to Jane and Chevys(Can't remember the characters names) house and eat all their food and watch their tv and no matter how many times they tried to get rid of him he would not leave.lol

I'm sure John Belushi went wherever the food was...and Dan Aykroyd didn't, judging how skinny he was. They must have starved them if he had to wander across the street, and they should have let him take a nap....lol.... Poor baby. I didn't see the SNL skit.
