The Nortel Issue: Why don't they just fire all the exects.
I don't care how good some of them are, if they were the team
that allowed the Pension issue to occur, they are ALL responsible.
Oft times people don't say anything because they are afraid to loose
their job.
I have relatives that worked there, after spending years
of their life at the company they have to pay the price for someone elses
inconsistency, error, whatever it was.
Clean the slate and start over, being over 45 and going back to school made me realize that the younger generation is pretty smart, they want
a better future, it is their future, they are concerned that things are green, because they have to live in this world after we are gone.
Don't underestimate the upcoming generation. They are the consumers.
I thought ,perhaps I'm wrong,that when they were making the Avro Arrow the Execs pulled in from different companies were paid $ 1 a day, everyone wanted it to succeed, if you are passionate about something,
you will do it for free, in the hope that you will get a job eventually from
it, if you don't, at least you will get the experience and learn from it.
I'd like to see them hire execs back for $ 1 a day and then see what kind of job they do.
If they were smart exects, they would have savings, be living within a budget, have back up just in case, able to live at least a year on $ 1
a day.
Take the money they would have received and put it back into the pension fund, I wonder if they would do it? or would it inconvenience them just a little too much....I wonder
