Here is where you discuss everything under the sun, just keep it clean.

I don't mean moving things with your mind, but psychic abilities (i.e. premanitions, talking to dead people?) I find it all fascintating. Some of my collegues, who are religious, comment its blasphemous. I've spoken with missionaries and others seeking there opinions. Some have been led to some quite lively discussions.
I happen to believe based on my experiece, that some are gifted in that area for a reason. God has granted everyone with certain gifts to use for his benefit. Some are able to relate to the spiritual world better than others. (Joseph 'interpreted dreams' in the Bible; Joseph Smith in the Mormon Church, ie Sylvia Brown is famous psychic often featured on Montel Williams, Crime solvers. ) I happen to believe, as is written in the Bible that there is rising of the dead, as mentioned in Revelations, and since Jesus is the Savior and the redeamer of sin, even for those who had already died. So the must be a another level. Revelations speaks of the first resurrection, my understanding is that is Jesus goes to Hell and rescues trapped souls captured by the fallen angles, and brings them to Heaven. So they must pass through our present system of existence.

Doesn't the Bible talk about "special abilities"?
Really...it's too much to wrap my brain around now.
There seems to be such cruelty and unease in the world now. It's hard to know for sure who is in charge.

'Crossing Over with John Edward' is one of my favorite shows. Some people have special abilities.
As far as power goes, there may be many. But I try to focus on our One creator, God has to be cool. I don't focus on negative powers, though I would sit across the table anyday to convince that God welcomes everyone.
I also have a lot of questions, like the Eastern philosophies which teach dispassion and at the same time compassion? And why should Love be the end just because I'm a sucker for it? :lol

Knowledge leads to enlightenment,
also the more knowledge or understanding we have, sometimes it's easier to make a decision.
For example.. you want to buy a new car...you ask everyone you
know about the best car... check out history over the net.... keep
looking for as much info as possible and then decide.
Our decisions may not always be right but as long as we did our
best to find out for ourselves what to do, we have the freedom to
take someone elses advice or not, thankfully we have the right to choose.
What about" the more you know, the more you know you don't know"
I think everyone has specifice abilities.
My opinion is men are better problem solvers, technically etc.
Women are better with matters of the heart, compassion, caring etc.
But I also believe Men and Women can compliment each other and
bring out the greatest strength in one another. But it's something to
be worked on otherwise it can go the other way.
I also think we are all given hidden talents to be developed, who knows
what anyone can do until they search and try. I also think most
people show their inate abilities young in life, primary school, etc.

What you don't know can't hurt you, as far as gossip and some things.
Wonderbunny, I believe in mental telepathy, it can be as simple as someone popping in your mind, and then the telephone rings. Things like that happen to me all the time. And sometimes you just know things, although there is no logical reason that you should. A lot of people read body language, verbal 'cues' etc to an extent that they know what people are thinking, but its only that they are very intuitive, maybe not truely psychic. They can read the smallest signs and come to the greatest conclusions, and the strange thing is they are usually correct. These are the people that are truely intuitive, not to be mistaken for people who inaccurately judge others, that is something different.

i'm in the intuitive category......and it can seem a little bizzarre at times, but importantly it's shown me how reliant i am on visual cues.......on the net at times i've been a little clumsy, because i am so visual......and auditory.........but it's good to know my weaknessess.......

Yes, I believe in mental telepathy. I think it's how God tries to communicate with you.
If you can't talk to God that way (so many people are afraid to try) then I also believe there are other ways that are just as prophetic as telepathy. If you're in tune with your emotions, you can use things like gut instinct and intuition to guide you through making decisions in life.
In fact, this is how you're warned about things that can harm you. If you ever wake up one day, and you have a strong feeling about not doing something, or a strong feeling about not visiting someone, this is a warning. Don't be surprised if later on that day you realized you just averted a life threatening situation. BUT it has to be something that comes to you for no apparent reason at all. (and you can't use extreme hangovers as a reason for not going to work that day!). You can also call these warnings premonitions.
You have to tell the difference between paranoia and premonitions. If you're afraid to fly because you keep reading about terrorism, and think a bomb is going to blow it up, that's NOT a premonition. But if you wake up on the day that you're flying somewhere, and you just have a bad feeling about going, THEN DON'T GO. Listen to your emotions. I can't stress this enough. This applies to things you need to do, and people you hang out with.
Anyone can develop it. No person is more special than any other. You just need to have faith.
The truth shall set you free.

I thought the word 'paranoia' too, but changed it for what I wrote above. I agree with you!

You mentioned intuition, I'm sure back when we were frolicking around as cavemen and women our 'instincts' were similar to those of an animal used to to keep us alive. Food, survival, danger and even picking a mate. Its not all that complicated, but sometimes I think we forget we have those gifts. You have heard of those instances when 'my gut told me not to go there' and viola - plane crashed, major auto accident on the interstate and you missed it. If you love it, and learn how to read it. Its that 'God's talking voice' He'll quietly talk to you without anyone else listening. He even quietly scolds you too That's pretty cool.

I've been thinking about 'ignorance is bliss'. I think that really applies in so many instances. In fact, as I get older I realize the less I know. In my 20' and even 30's I had a lot more 'confidence' in my opinions and view. Now I'm a lot more easy going, humbled is a better word. Some of my younger ideas were actually formed by my parents through osmosis. So around 30 I realized that I had to cut the wheat from the chaff so to speak. Sort through all this stuff in my head and find out who I really was. False beliefs and opinions are validated and discarded through experience and learning from your mistakes. Speed bumps in life.
