No quieran a Bush!
They don't want Bush. (at least the women in the picture)
Of course, we are just like the Indian people, we are NOT all the same.

On the other hand, and I'm not trying to make anyone feel bad, but that is a pretty large crowd 100,000 people to protest....

I bet half of the people in the crowd wouldn't have an explanation of why they hate Bush. Some madcap politician just herded them there.

As far as England's opinion of our president goes. Don't forget FIRST we are allied with you and appreciate the assistance.

But England did the same thing, "Spitting Image"??? with Ronald Reagan and recently most Americans ranked him as the best president ever, even above Lincoln.

In the last election I voted for people on both sides of the political spectrum.

of course Quirky........Spitting Image did a rather splendid 'the presidents brain is missing' sketch of Regan....... ....and i'm sure the late princess 'David' found that most amusing too......
but remember, culturally the British always take the piss out of presidents and politicians.......but if we are gonna get into an arguement about it.....ask why Britain is so closely allied to the USA when geographically we should be allied closer to the rest of Europe????..........and then ask the British people what they think of your president.......you may be rather shocked at the responses.........

ps...........i'm sitting on the fence......like a good neutral Scot......lol.....i'm just playing the devils advocate........lol......

There were two world wars that explain why Britain and the US are allies.
geographically we should be allied closer to the rest of Europe????

I giggled. You forget, I lived in Europe for 7 years. How long did it take to get a common unit of currency?

The British think Americans are lazy and dumb. The truth of the matter is that we're a LOT like Britain.

lol......i think you'll find that America was not going to bother helping us out in WW2 unless we sold our soul to the USA via trade agreements......and then Pearl Harbour happened.........and all of a sudden we were all in it together..........yeah right.......!!.......lol......
Our Usa links were forced on us by trade agreements which were agreed for life...............and now they are a part of life......to the extent that Britain is like another American state.......which is kinda sad for the country that used to be the most powerful in the world dontcha think..?....lol......
As for the single currency.......lol.........(Satans cash  )......lol........we refused it........we loathe it and we don't want it..........lol.........but i love Jims thing on Jonathan Ross where he says he can't get a sandwich in this town..........lol...'coming soon, to a movie theatre near you.....the Euro!!'.........lol...........

lol..........and yes Brits are like Americans/Canadians, probably more so than any other nationals....... and that's cool.......i love Americans/Canadians.........

lol.........i'm having flashbacks of Fawlty towers.......'don't mention the war'..........lol.......

Yes...the sad thing...the thing that worries me MOST of all is the polarization of the two political parties and an absolute fear of discussing things we used to discuss. America is this huge chemistry experiment. It's only 200 years old and it has recognized and self-corrected (although it can be a LONG process).

People are now very wary of exchanging ideas and views because they don't want to spark acrimony.

Hey today more Indian people will hate Bush coz almost all the roads were blocked for hours today just coz he was to pass by from there. Lots of people couldnt reach their work on time & the students had exams today.....there was lots of chaos on the road. Bush came late as scheduled which further annoyed the people :?
