i almost burned down the house......  .......i left the iron on the hob to cool this morning and forgot the ring was set to on when i put on the oven..........the iron totally melted and the cyanide fumes are currently fuddling my brain.........lol........
anyone else had a close call?

Yes . One day I was cooking and the stove was on high and the oil over heated and there was smoke and the firemen came ...  Bah hum bug!!!!

Hope you're out of the house for a little while, those fumes can be
deadly.
About a month ago, I was sleeping and woke up to a smoke smell, I smelled all around the house couldn't find it anywhere. I went to see if it was outside, it was. The smell was from next door, it's a semi-detached and it was coming into my side. I don't think there were flames but it was smokey.

thanks CJ , the cyanide fumes really stuck in my throat....but i thought animals were supposed to warn their owners of fire? My cats carried on eating/sleeping..... .....useless little buggers.....lol

yup....Fluffy 15 and Daisy 8....i'm really a dog person, but my ex fiance was a cat man and insisted....i adore them though......i love all animals.......
