When I was younger there was no Jim Carrey to entertain the masses. Jim was being entertained by a comedian named Flip Wilson. .......a very, very funny person.....I loved Geraldine and her, what you see is what you get attitude...... 8) :lol: :wink: 8)

I remember shortly before my father died, he rented "Dorf Goes Fishing."

Tim Conway has been funny in the past....but Dorf bit. It bit the really big bite. Not funny ... not at all...and so I felt terrible for my father...he'd never ordered anything from the TV before and he deserved to laugh..it was such a crushing disappointment for me.

I love the honeymooners

When ever I think of Flip I think of good old Laughin with Dan Rowan,Dick Martin, A very young Goldie Hawn and many others.

My Dad and I used to watch the Flip Wilson Show religiously!

Martin Lawrence is a rip-off of Flip Wilson in my book.

but lest we forget we must bow in defference to the great Ealing comedies, the Carry On movies and the Gods that are/were Frankie Howard, Norman Wisdom, Hattie Jaques, June Whitfield etc etc...........
and the dearly departed Thora Hurd..............
