Discuss other upcoming Jim Carrey movies (not confirmed/rumours).

I still have faith in Jim.......lol.....( prob foolish fandom though )i think there's a tonne going on behind the scenes we don't know about...TVdeals, script optioning, writing, optioning books etc.....the wheels move really slowly though.........plus he's got his hobbies and interests which probably keep him sane.......
and I don't think he was right for Silas in retrospect.....he would have acted the lot of them off the screen....he was too big a name....he'd have been competing with Tom, plus he'd have bumped up the costs........
i'm just happy to see him getting his teeth into stuff......

IMHO I think Jim's future looks brighter than it ever has before. You should never have the mind set of looking for oscar type films because that's the wrong way to go at it. They'll come naturally. Also he doesn't care about money too, so now he can just pick the good scripts and not worry about the money part. He's got two things going for himself and a lot of movies on the go, it looks good.
Ripley;s and Phillip Morris are movies that have a chance for him to get an oscar. People thing Phillip Morris will be a comedy, but if you read the book it's more of a drama with some good dark comedy in it.

I personally think ripleys will flop. I dunno why, with all the script re-writes and the director drop. It's a flop for me, either that or it will do as well as the number 23.
Phillip Morris... well if its anything like brokeback mountain then I guess it will go well, right?
Lol.

Lol.
The S.O rewrite worries me. But If spike Jones directs, there might be hope.

I think that it would be cool to have one character played by the same person again. I really think that Jim could come back and play The Riddler as a dark villian. Jim did a great job in The Number 23, so I have faith that he can play as a dark Riddler.
Thats just my opinion though.

I find it hard to believe he was runner up for the Joker. Are you sure that you read that?

Jim couldn't have been runner up for the movie because he was already doing several films at a time. It would have already been noted somewhere, such as how he was runner up to Silas in the davinci code, and to Agent 86 in Get Smart.

He wasn't up for the role, he only expressed interest.
"July 8, 2005: A new report says Jim Carrey is interested in returning to the Batman franchise, but instead of reprising his role as The Riddler from Batman Forever, he wants to play the Joker. Nothing official yet."

He doesn't like reprising the same characters. The Riddler in Christopher Nolan's universe would be a much different character than in Schumacker's.
Besides, this isn't a sequel to Batman Forever

well, Yahoo! just posted an article that it just might happen. Depp is a good actor, but I can't picture him as the Riddler. Depp is still considering the whole role thing though. so it's in between rumor and "should I do this?" for Depp.
