I was fortunate enough to see a special screening of "The Majestic" last <br>night. Aside from the theaters smelling like feet, it was a very good <br>experience indeed. Jim Carrey has certainly proved to any doubters that he <br>can do dramas just as well as he can do comedies. I really hope he gets at <br>least an Oscar nomination, however, I fear that the Academy will snub him <br>again, because they never seem to recognize people like Jim for their work. But I really believe her deserves to win best actor for this role! I don't <br>want to give anything away about this movie, but Jimmy made me cry, and this <br>time it wasn't from laughter. The whole movie was just amazing. Frank <br>Darabont does wonders, I've seen the three big movies he has done(Shawsank Redemption, Green MIle, being the other 2) and they are extradorinary films! <br>Two thumbs way high up for "The Majestic!"<br><br>~Wesley Hofmann<br> <p></p><i></i>

Is Jim sappy or corny in the film I mean I was watching the trailer to the movie and some of the things he said seemed pretty sappy but I thought it was cute but then i went on the AICN website and they had a review on the film I found others that said Jim was great and the movie puts a tear in your eye there was two reviews that were not so happy with the movie one guy was like: "Don't mind me this movie was just not my kind of movie so i say listen to the others who liked it because what do I know." I liked that guy and the other one said "I am tired of goody goody 50's movie and he said the speech at the end made him sick" or as he put it "made me wanna throw up" I did not like him at all and so I saw the user talk back forum thing a guy said "Am I the only one who thought the trailer was horrible??" Then he said that Jim Carrey seemed sappy in the trailer and that he was not going to see it at all I remember him from his past posts he, did not like Jim Carrey at all so I just ignored him then another guy said that Jim seemed sappy and that he was not going to see it!! Is Jim sappy in the movie or are they just idiots?? <p></p><i></i>

i would say don't read into the reviews too much...it all depends on how the viewer feels about the movie...see it for yourself and you be the judge! <p></p><i></i>
