well in a way it is not a sequal exactly since it does not deal w/ Jim's character. that is how i looked at Son of the Mask.

Yeah, maybe but when it comes to The Mask I wanted it to be about Stanley Ipkiss and Tina Carlyle. The story in "Son of The Mask" wasn´t interesting enough.
I really wanted to see Jim's The Revenge of The Mask where he gets ran over by a taxi and Tina and Best friend go to Paris where another Mask is and the Mask splits in half.
It would be really cool if that came out.
ha ha.....that would be interesting to see.....but i think it would lose some people because Stanley gets killed in it.....but if it does happen....just don't let it happen at the beginning. that would be stupid.

Since Son Of the Mask was such an amazing, passionate movie I don't why they shouldn't do a sequel!
Back in the old days I was very exicted about the rumored Mask II WITH Jim but over time I came to respect his choice of not making any sequels even it would be awesome! If he doesn't like that, that's all what matters! ---[...]------
I want to see a Mask 3 tooBut I doubt Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz would want to dod it since they are bigger stars now and demand alot of money and are generally not the same actors they were during the time of The Mask. But if someone could convince them with a really good script than they might change their mind and do a sequel.
Kenan Grant
But what are Stan and Tina supposed to do in the sequel?
The original idea must have been them having a kid but I guess now 'Son Of The Mask' spoiled that approach! ---[...]------
Revenge of The Mask (The first Sequel with Carrey) had the mask being split in half and stanley dying i think, but i kinda like the idea of 2 masks.
Hmmm, that would explain the 'Revenge', always wondered about that title. I got hooked during the summer of 1995 and they were announcing this sequel for Christmas, I was really exicted but before too long I knew that this wouldn't happen.
I read Jim was actually half-dying during the shooting of the first movie, he was suffering from an ulcer. He used to lie on the floor and Cameron fed him bread. That's a rather unfortunate but adorable story at the same time, I can just picture it... ---[...]------
Yeah I just read that somewhere, which doesn't make it official.
But it's nice to pretend it's true because it's a really sweet anecdote, apart from the ulcer of course! ---[...]------
