What movie would you like to see him do?

Postby fluffy » Thu Nov 24, 2005 12:12 am

Now i'm sure this is a topic we revisit regulary........but what book adaptation could you see him in..........??.......
not a primary Screenplay.........but a book which has been adapted specifically for the screen?

what genre would it be in??...........Can we stick to specific texts??........cause i think we all agree that he is exceptionally versatile......
y'know, there's something disconcerting about James Eugene Carrey....even when he's smiling in a photo you get the impression that the depth behind those brown eyes is so intense it could swallow him up...........and if he managed to capture that on film he'd totally destroy any preconceptions..........He's like a supernova waiting to blow, and burn up the sky with it's brilliance........

I know he's got the options on "children of the Dust bowl'......
and as a teacher i guess i have an interest in seeing that movie come to fruition.

But i'd like to see him to do something to convey great emotional range and depth..........something with great poignancy that strikes a chord with the audience.........even a very dark/thriller movie can do that if we are reminded that the character is vulnerable too..........Something which delivers something of the man too...........

i actually think he could do the REALLY heavy stuff justice......

but i tend to read biography..........and what a wonderful story his struggle for fame would make on film................
Geez, talk about inspirational.............

So what would you like to see him in now?
(ok.........apart from your bed............lol)

I am so excited about this 23 idea, I have been waiting for him to do something deep, mysterious and 'romantic'. Other than that, I'm just happy he's still making movies. I would love for him to do a remake of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang - His ability to dance, sing and entertain children (like Dick Van Dyke) would be something. I know he referred to it in Ace Vetura but could you imagine? Or even Mary Poppins and Jim dancing with the Penguins. I can imagine him in just about anything. That's pretty cool. All I need in a Jim Carrey action figure and I could go back to grade school and play make believe movie producer; and I'm Orson Wells or M. Mayer, or Steven Speilburg.... Who needs Barbie, she was so boring.

I would love to see him in a musical... he gets the voice too...
He once mentioned he would like to interprete Judas in Jesus Christ Super Star... I know that they've done the movie already, which I haven't seen, but he has the talents for that role... and his Judas would have depth.

y'know..........anything biblical or with a strong spiritual core would suit him to i reckon................

My only reservations would be with 'Jim the man' taking home the characters and becoming dark in his personal life too................
look what happened to Joaquin Pheonix with Jonny Cash........he ended up an alcoholic!!........... .......he'd need a strong support network behind him i reckon...............
but what potential the man has...............

fluffy

He would make a great teacher for grades 5 and up.. now a days you have to be so animated in class to keep thier attention.. the kids are used to fast paced games, movies, life... since he has all that energy he would be great.. I just read that Ron Clark (he was a teacher and is now a motovational speaker for teachers) has a movie coing out, Mathew Perry is playing him but Jim could have been great for the part

I didn't like math or science until I became a teacher..now they are my favorite to teach..those are the subjects that need extra animation for kids

well my favorite subjects would have to be sex ed, psychology, english and multimedia....and p.e. is fun.....the interesting classes i think would need students or a teacher that can keep the class alive and fun.....plus have it be hands-on and interactive instead of just doing things out of the textbook.

I once had a science teacher who was great... he would have an anecdote for every topic in the class... I still remember he talking about leukemia using the polar bear and apples illustration... his classes would come alive... it was great... Well, teachers have to be entertainers to crab the attention of the wild ones... .... So, yeah, Jimmy the wild teacher would be a good one...!
