weird. Searching for Sunshine, we just bought "What Dreams May Come" and watched it last night! ... and didn't like it much. I mean, the heaven was beautiful and the painting scene- everything. But the idea and the concept we didn't agree with. :? Too many things contradicted the Bible.

Anyway.. wooohhhhaa this post has had so many replies. I need to stretch and go to bed. *yawns and drifts off* *head falls on keyboard*

ow

Fascinating fact! Mary Magdallen apparently had been touched with some form of 'mental illness' or 'demons' that Jesus cured. She was his only true disciple who never faltered in believing in him. Amazing, they don't speak of that much. Mostly you hear about the 12 disciples and all of betrayed him when cornered. Only she and his mother remaind by his side. Jesus appeared to her first when he was resurrected. Perhaps if he lived they would have married and had children. Can you imagine? Maybe there is something special between a man and woman, that is not shared between men/men or women/women relationships. That whole death do us part... Makes me wonder

Is it true that there are 32 years of his life unaccounted for in the Bible?

My cousin's friend pointed that out this weekend. Is it blasphemy to wonder if Jesus had children?

You're speaking about Da Vinci Code? This book is very famous in Russia, but I don't wanna read it like Pablo Co.. I don't know how to spell his surname... I'd better read Asimov or Dick.

searching_for_sunshine wrote about diffirent conception of heaven. I agree. I even wrote a story about this subjective vision of God and problems in 2001.
I've always been mad, I know I've been mad, like the most of us...very hard to explain why you're mad, even if you're not mad...

Quirkey:

My cousin's friend pointed that out this weekend. Is it blasphemy to wonder if Jesus had children?

I think metaphorically speaking he did. Every person he came in contact with as he built the temple of Christianity. As the beloved Son of God, Prince of Peace, his mission was to bring people to God. So in essence we were all his children, not by blood but by spririt.

Family, can be of a spiritual nature. A special bond. I've used the word 'child' as a metaphor or project or idea that I've been nurturing as I would a child.

I noticed Mr. Carrey used that term refering the clips removed from movies in the edit room. Threw out a lot of babies (or something like that) I assumed he meant jokes or lines that were for what ever reason were cut.

Hm. Everything has multiple meanings doesn't it? Life is like peeling an onion layer by layer.

...bringing up the subject of jesus, marriage and children again....

it really teeters a line don't you think? i mean God created man and woman. allowed great pleasure in their "enjoyment" of each other and an incredible bond with their children that they create together. it almost (and i stress ALMOST) seems logical that God would allow his son to know this sense of bonding and love.

it's like a priest giving marital advice :? you gotta live it to preach it, right?! i don't know. i think there may be a lot of things that we would be surprised about if we knew the "missing years" and to me that doesn't lessen my faith one way or the other. faith is blind. believe or don't. just choose.

that's my motto and i'm sticking to it :D

funnygirl, sorry you didn't like what dreams my come. i thought it was an interesting concept. i just don't want streets paved in gold. that to me would be truly wrong. gimme endless fields of daisies!

(and now i'm climbing off my soapbox again LOL)

I see a lot of God in nature. Lately I'm taking great joy in the birds that come out when I go smoke. It's a bad habit, I know...but I swear that before I had my episode....the birds were not as close.

Of course, I feed them now, too. Maybe I just didn't see them.

What dreams may come: I saw that. What an amazing love and an amazing concept.

I hope I find that kind of love someday.

lol.............i ADORE waterfowl.............i want a pond with ducks and geese and maybe a swan one day..........
This reminds me of a visit to a pond in Glasgow, there must be about 70 swans there..........well, one day i got 10 loaves of bread and my then fiance and his best friend and i went to feed them............these 2 blokes were petrified.....lol......i went down and literally had swans resting their heads on my lap waiting for their grub..........they let me stroke them and hand feed them...........
All the crap about them being dangerous is rubbish............they are beautiful...........
But the 'men' were terrified..........lol...............
here's a boring fact for you.............HM The Queen owns all the swans in Britian...........

Swans can be mean if they are protecting their young though, I think.

But that would be cool. There was a place near DC where we would go feed the ducks and it was fun. There were also little bullhead catfish in the water, so you'd see their little whiskered mouths gulping above the surface of the water competing with the ducks.

Lately, my roof birds have been eating stale taco shells. It's time for something else, though. Maybe a hamburger bun.
