I think he's being ironic there............it wouldn't have been on the tape..........

I thought he was just being ironic about the last part. It is so hard to tell when he is joking when it is in print. Here is the whole ancient interview. It is quite interresting I think.

...he's poking fun at the way humans try everything to be all-powerful...even listening to messages over and over again to subliminally convince ourselves of our power.....
