"The Majestic" spills more ink
12 Dec 2001 Catseye found yet more mentions to "The Majestic" in a couple of well known publications, including Oscar ads. Read on:
"'The Hollywood Reporter' has its Oscar Watch Preview edition out. Lots of 'For Your Consideration' ads. 'The Majestic' is in there with a photo of Jim Carrey sitting in a bar staring at a toy monkey. Naturally, Jim is being pushed for Best Actor, but they are also pushing Martin Landau for Best Supporting Actor and Laurie Holden as Best Supporting Actress.
Strangely, I checked today's edition of 'Variety' and did not see any 'Majestic' ads. But I did notice that 'People' did have an interesting layout for the Majestic ad. There was a full page of 'The Majestic' poster and on the opposite page, at the far edge was a bar section that said 'The Majestic' going down one side and between that section and the other page were book recommendations. It's in the 'People' magazine edition with George Harrison on the cover."
