For those of us too young to remember the original "Fun with Dick and Jane," but curious about the 1977 movie, it will be re-released by Sony in widescreen and repackaged in time for Christmas.
Due out on 6/12/05 it stars Jane Fonda and George Segal as the hapless couple who find Dicks unemployment throws them into financial despair.An amusing, occasionally hilarious satire, lambasting the hypocrisies of American capitalism. This deft comedy pokes fun at the aerospace industry, the welfare system, and televangelism. Segal and Fonda are a great team, and the movie ages surprisingly well. Jay Leno makes an early cameo as a construction worker.

The primary interest in this version will be sparked by the release of the re-make in Dec 2005 and for the incurably nosy Jim fans out there, it may be worth a look..
