Jim Carrey nominated for People's Choice Awards
04 Dec 2001 Grinchy Steve and Tommy Pihl, JCO's Correspondents, found out that Jim Carrey is nominated as "Best Comedic Performer" at the 28th Annual People's Choice Awards. Other actors co-nominated in this category are Eddie Murphy and Ben Stiller. The PCA's don't award particular performances and nationwide polls conducted by the Gallup Organization determine both the nominees and winners.
Kevin James, star of the sitcom "The King of Queens," will host the live CBS telecast, scheduled for January 13.
