Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Is Officially Filming!

The next chapter in the Sonic the Hedgehog film franchise is officially off to the races!
Director Jeff Fowler took to social media on Monday to confirm that Sonic the Hedgehog 4 has begun production. Sharing a fun behind-the-scenes image, Fowler appears to be holding the iconic hammer associated with Sonic’s pink counterpart, Amy Rose — a playful tease that has fans buzzing with excitement.
Fowler captioned the post:
“Ready 4 Action. #SonicMovie4 now filming.”
The big reveal follows last month’s exclusive report from The Hollywood Reporter that Kristen Bell is set to voice Amy Rose in the upcoming sequel. With Amy entering the cinematic universe in a bigger way, Sonic 4 is already shaping up to be another high-energy adventure.
Fowler, who directed the first three installments, is once again at the helm — giving fans confidence that the franchise’s winning blend of action, heart, and humor will continue.
Of course, for Jim Carrey fans, the big question remains: Will Jim Carrey return as Dr. Robotnik? As of now, there has been no official confirmation about his involvement in Sonic the Hedgehog 4. We still don’t know if Jim will join the movie — but we’re staying hopeful!
