Sonic 2 Movie Poster Perfectly Recreates Original Game Cover

Marketing for the upcoming "Sonic the Hedgehog 2" movie has been fantastic, with Paramount leaning heavily on iconic imagery and nostalgia.
A new poster released today is no exception. It's a direct callback to the US and PAL box arts for the original Sonic the Hedgehog 2 game for Sega Genesis/Mega Drive. It features Sonic and Tails at the front, with a gigantic photo of Dr. Robotnik grasping at the number 2. Knuckles is even reflected in the big red 2, too.
