Comedy fans will learn the hard way that there is no such thing as free cable when Sony Pictures Home Entertainment brings "The Cable Guy" to Blu-ray Disc on March 1, 2011 for the SRP of $24.95. This dark comedy stars Jim Carrey (Liar Liar, The Mask) as a lonely and disturbed cable installer looking for a new friend in and unsuspecting bachelor played by Matthew Broderick (Ferris Bueller’s Day Off). Unsettling consequences ensue when Broderick’s character rejects the cable guy’s forced friendship.
Directed by Ben Stiller (Zoolander) and produced by Judd Apatow (Superbad), The Cable Guy boasts a roster of comedic talent that includes appearances by Jack Black (School of Rock, Year One), Leslie Mann (Knocked Up), Janeane Garofalo (Reality Bites), Owen Wilson (Wedding Crashers) and Andy Dick (Old School).
Special features on The Cable Guy Blu-ray Disc include never-before-released footage from the archives of Ben Stiller and Judd Apatow, including more than 20 minutes of deleted scenes, an all-new commentary with Carrey, Stiller and Apatow, a gag reel, rehearsal footage, TV specials from HBO and Comedy Central, audition and camera test footage, and a music video.

The Cable Guy Synopsis:
Jim Carrey is Chip Douglas, cable installer. Raised on television sitcoms, he wants life to look just like My Three Sons. And when he meets single guy Steven Kovacs (Matthew Broderick, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off), he sees his chance for some serious male bonding. But Chip's idea of friendship - which includes physical assault, a game of 'Porno Password' and a medieval joust - may be hazardous to Steven's health. In Chip's own immortal words, "I can be your best friend... or your worst enemy." The film is directed by Ben Stiller (Reality Bites).
