JC to host "SNL" and other appearances
11 Nov 1999 Jim Carrey will host the December 11 edition of "Saturday Night Live," which will feature R.E.M. as the musical guest.
"Late Show With David Letterman" will also dedicate an entire week to "Man on the Moon," with appearances by Jim Carrey, Courtney Love and Danny DeVito. R.E.M. is set to appear on December 13. Other specific dates to come.
"The Great Beyond" video premieres on MTV, November 16, followed by a "Making Of The Video" special to air at 10:30 p.m. (ET) / 9:30 p.m. (CT). The video will also be featured on "Total Request Live" on the 17.

A national radio contest is also planned, with winners to be flown to the movie's premiere in Los Angeles.
