"Liar Liar" and "Bruce Almighty" on HD DVD

Good news for Jim fans! Universal Studios Home Entertainment will bring Jim Carrey's biggest comedy successes to the new HD DVD format later this year! "Liar Liar" and "Bruce Almighty" will be released on June 12, 2007. They will be presented in 1080p video and Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 audio and will include the same extra features as found on the standard DVD release, though that assumption is not yet confirmed.

HD DVD stands for "High Definition Digital Versatile Disc". The HD DVD disc is designed to be the successor to the standard DVD format. It can store 15 GB on each layer, as opposed to a DVD's 4.7 GB.
HD DVD is currently in a format war with rival format Blu-ray Disc.
