A third Ace Ventura movie!

If you love Ace Ventura you'll be surprised to learn that Ace is back! But minus our boy Jim Carrey!!
It's reported that Jason and Justin Heimberg and Jeff Sank have been commissioned to write the third Ace movie. Following on from the huge success of "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective" and "Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls". Predictably, the story is set to revolve around the son of the great 'Pet Detective,' and lest we forget, the "Son of The Mask" bombed and earned some rather worthy Razzies.
Is Ace Ventura 3 a wise step with two such worthy predecessors, or will it be "Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd ", time will tell!!
