Just recently, we reported that How the Grinch Stole Christmas will return to cinemas this holiday season in honor of its 25th anniversary. Now, fans have yet another reason to celebrate—because the classic Jim Carrey holiday favorite has officially been released in a beautifully remastered 4K edition, including a brand-new limited-edition steelbook.
To mark the film’s quarter-century milestone, Disney has released a fully remastered 4K edition, available in both a standard version and a limited-edition steelbook. The collectible not only features upgraded picture quality but also enhanced special features—making it the perfect addition for fans, collectors, and anyone wanting to revisit Whoville in the highest possible quality.
Directed by Ron Howard, the 2000 film follows Carrey’s Grinch as he plots to steal Christmas from the endlessly cheerful residents of Whoville, accompanied by his loyal dog, Max. His plans begin to unravel when he crosses paths with the kind-hearted Cindy Lou Who (Taylor Momsen). Despite mixed reviews at the time (a 49% rating on Rotten Tomatoes), the movie became a major box-office success, earning $347 million worldwide and even winning an Academy Award.
