"The Truman Show" finishes principal photography
26 Mar 1997 The principal photography of "The Truman Show" at Seaside, Florida finished on the 7th of March. The movie began production on December, 8th and used many locals as extras. (Check out the pictures section to see some of the sets.)
According to a movie source, there may be necessary to re-shot a couple of outdoor scenes at Florida, due to weather problems and shoot a few others at L.A., taking yet about a month for production to wrap.
There’s still lots of post production stuff to do, namely the enhancement of several outdoor scenes through the use of computer generated scenery. According to the same source, it is probable that the previous release date of "The Truman Show", set for August, 8th will have to be pushed to October or November, 1997.
