"Man on the Moon" video and DVD release date
22 Mar 2000 The following information was posted at JCO's Message Board by Lily:
"I suppose most of us know about this by now, but even so it's worth sharing with those who don't. I doubt that MOTM will be a sell-through title like most of Carrey's films, which is to say we won't be able to *buy* the video May 30. (It's not a "family" film and its lack of box-office success further cripples it.) But it will be available to rent that day and by year's end should be available for purchase.
For those of us lucky enough to own DVD players the DVD version will be available to purchase right from the start. (Reel.com is already taking reservations.) It will include 2 featurettes (one's a making-of short and one's a Kaufman-bio), the theatrical trailer, the music videos for "Man on the Moon" and "The Great Beyond", some deleted scenes, and production/actor notes."
