i know that this in not an "official" site and the jury is still out as to how often or IF Jim comes to the forum at all BUT i was on the foofighters site (which they do visit periodically) and they had a neat section where people just submit letters to the band or favorite band member. sometimes forum members get replies from them. sometimes the letter is just to say "thanks, you rock." i thought that was pretty cool.

anyone want to submit a letter?

dear Jim,
the first part of this letter is to thank you...
- for making me laugh (of course, that's a no-brainer-DUH!)
- for making me cry while watching the majestic and for showing me the value of knowing when NOT to reveal everything
- for making me re-think the lord's prayer and coming forward about your own search for "the meaning of life"
- for being so incredibly HOT

- for ESOTSM - you were completely robbed of an oscar.

the second part is my wish for you...
- that you truly find wholeness in your spiritual life even if you have to search for it your entire life
- that you find your soul mate (oh, i'm right here by the way

)
- that your daughter grows up always making you proud
- that you keep making the films YOU want to make until you feel that you are done
- that you realize how much you are loved - even by those whom you have not met
- that you always are blessed with a dog
- that you always have clean underwear

someday maybe our paths will cross - you will not know me but i have the luxury of knowing at least by name who you are. then my hope is that i am able to catch a glimpse of the human you are - not the movie star, not the comedian - just you.
