Scariest Movie of all Time

Post by Cheryl Anna »

ARACHNIPHOBIA

the scariest movie-hands down

I try to watch that movie whenever I see it on because Jeff Daniels is hot in that movie. I tell myself each time that I won't be scared. The spider-with its huge eyes makes me scream every time.
I have always had arachniphobia-even before I was born. I was born two weeks early because a huge grass spider crawled on my Mom.

Wow! I guess that's a history of arachnophobia.

When I was in grade school, the schoolyard was surrounded by cornfields.

Cornfields get corn spiders and they make large webs.

We used to enjoy catching little crickets and throwing them in the spider's web and watching the spiders go get them.

Kind of like a National Geographic special without any voice-over except a bunch of little kids going.

"You do it."
"No, you do it."
"Ewwww....it's gonna get me."
"I'll do it!"
"Kewl!!!!"
"Ewwww it's getting it...like a vampire....ewww!"
"A spider's gotta eat."

*cue "Circle of Life"*
"When in doubt, tell the truth."

I don't think that this movie is very scary. Scary movies are those psycho horror ones like "SAW" for example.

Arachnophobia Is VERY freaky if you have arachnophobia (like me), or even if you're a little scared of spiders. But I think the scariest movie of all time is The Exorcist. Nowadays movies aren't scary at all it's the old ones that are Great. I Loved Nightmare on Elm street. It wasn't scary but for it's time it had GREAT visual effects.

I second that sentiment...................
I don't think there's been a really good horror for ages.......just loads of silly teenagers getting murdered................
Something dark and gothic and atmospheric.......but not a silly vampire flick.........
One of my fav movies is the OMEN because of the atmosphere and the gothiscism...........it's fantastic..........
I've always wanted to write a horror........but one with intellect and class...........lol..........i guess that's why i've not done it yet..........lol

I avoid the dark side. With the exception of throwing crickets in spider's webs.

Saw was really nothing but a hack and slash gore flick, There really wasn't anything psychologically thrilling about it. . . For me anyway. But to each his or her own I always say. :D

I'm not a fan of psycho horror, if I see horror movies I rather like splatter and gore movies. But Saw was imho nevertheless a good movie with a totally surprising ending.

no i didn't.....sorry............but i heard it was a slasher flick....was that wrong?

no i still stand by the Omen..........i thought the Exorcist was VERY tame..........but it was very atmospheric..........

I actually found a documentary on Channel 4 UK a couple of years ago more disturbing..........
It was a documentary about Tuscany life.......and one episode was dedicated to the Church and it's effect on one girl in particular......She was possessed by the devil (so they said)..........and she was the real Exorcist deal.............the priest did his stuff and she settled.........but this was apparently a regular thing.............
The fact that this was the real deal made it very very spooky..........

Truth is ALWAYS stranger than fiction..........this supported that fact..

The best horror movies are Evil Dead 1 - 3 and Braindead. I love them.

Whee, it's the bump at the end of the ride that hurts
when the person that got on first gets off first without any warning,
and laughs, thinking it was real funny.

But most people have really good memories and get revenge later.
Oooo how about a horror of a person who gets revenge on the
person who almost gave them a spinal on the teeter- totter
(jaws theme: dududu du du du)

Is there such thing as a funny horror flick?
