Jim throws BIG Party!

Post by FavaBeans »

Jim Carrey celebrated the end of work on his upcoming comedy FUN WITH DICK AND JANE by throwing a $100,000 (GBP52,631) party at an amusement park for the cast and crew.

On 29 January (05) the comedian rented the Six Flags Magic Mountain theme park in Valencia, California, and invited more than 500 guests.

The guests - including producer BRIAN GRAZER and brothers KEENAN IVORY, MARLON, SHAWN and DAMON WAYANS - rode roller coasters, played arcade games and munched on burgers and cakes during the six-hour bash.

Carrey's 17-year-old daughter JANE was also among those enjoying the day at the park.

Wow........... That is soooo cooool!!!! I wish I could have went.....

Last time I was in California, I only went to Disneyland and Knox Berry Farm. My aunty didn't have time to take me to Magic Mountain :( Now I really wish I went............. Just to see the rides there..... supposedly, it's very extreme :) Which I like!!! Gotta go there someday :)

Thanks so much for sharing~

That would be so fun! I don't really like roller coasters but I'd get on one if I was sitting with Jim! Very cool!

Looks like FUN

I wonder if Dick and Jane went there in the MOVIE?
I think it would be great to see the new "Ocean Discovery" part.
I've been to Darien many years ago.
It must have been a BLAST to go.

There is only one thing I don't understand. Jim is still making FWDAJ so why would there be a party already??? Sounds like tabloid junk.

Sorry, but that still odesn't make sense, as they are still filming, so it's not a reliable source!

Ok....I really only watch or read fairly reliable sources.

But of course, it's your perogative to believe whatever you want to.

Maybe they are still filming, but some folks are done with their parts and he wanted to have a celebratory get together.

I would just think "tabloid junk"....would be something more negative.

This is actually a cool story.

I call all Tabloid stuff junk. I didn't think anybody would have actually cared.

Please tell me where you read it.

Maybe but it doesn't say that in the article. Plus Jim has had many parties for the cast and crew of his movies and they are usually when the movie is done filming completely.

Well....I didn't read it in the Star or Enquirer.

I don't read those. I do read People, but I don't recall exactly where I saw it.

I apologize if I offended anyone. I just read it here and had remembered seeing it elsewhere and thought it was a really cool thing.
