Jim drops out of Dumb & Dumber!

The studio hasn't commented about it. We don't know what is happening at the moment. Hopefully the next news we get is when they begin production.

The Farrellys haven't commented about it yet either - except to say in an interview a few weeks ago that they hope Jim and New Line can work out their differences quickly. I think Jim and New Line might still be in negotiations as we speak (type.). And Jeff has stated in two interviews he's hopeful that it will still happen.

"Dumb and Dumber To" is far from dead, in my opinion.

Something strikes me as interesting about that interview - Daniels says the Farrelly brothers are working on the re-write this time around, writing the second draft. Maybe Mr. Anders and Mr. Morris' script wasn't passing muster with the studio and that explains their reluctance/lack of enthusiasm for the project. If so, I think The Farrellys will make the script better. After all, they invented these characters. Nobody knows them as intimately as they do.

Interestingly, Jim added a few things to the script too, according to Daniels.

Ive been watching D&D all this week,
I have to take it back to the video store soon
It's been interesting watching, evaluating and wondering
about the scenes.

I wondered why
Jim says S me S, as he comes to knock on the door of the mansion
is he amazed at the house? or just talking to
himself or I totally don'tt understand why the line.

As I watched the movie I could really see how Jim's character could
be totally believable and his facial expressions, the way he
carries himself in all parts is all there, every emotion is intense
very well done

I wish Jeff or the Farrellys or the screenwriters would leak details about the plot. They've all been very tight-lipped.
