You are WRONG. And I won't lose faith. My grandparents had perfection....the perfect marriage. Sure...they might have weathered troubles together....but together is the important word.

i stand by my belief that perfection is unrealistic and frankly unattractive.........it's the challenge of an interesting journey with a man with quirks and flaws and attractions which interests me.........
Someone with a bit of fire and belief..............i'll match him every step of the way.........lol.......i like stable and unstable...........i like to go with the flow.......i guess thats my idea of perfection.......lol........a man unafraid to take risks......

I don't.

I think some people CHOOSE the friction, but it's not what I want. Be the change you want to see in the world. I'll never wind up on Dr. Phil about love....and it may be...that because of my views that a relationship should help to fill you up....not knock you down, life's full of enough of that...it may be this belief that ensured I remain single. I'm hard enough on myself that any guy who started with that crap, I'd kick to the curb. Life's too short. My boat sails on a smooth ocean.

probably..........but not the really mean destructive friction........but a certain amount of healthy sparring is good..........it keeps everyone on their toes............and creates mutual respect.........but i'm not the kind of girl who wants to emasculate the man by making him small.........i know when to back off and i'm always ready to apologise............

but i think it's healthy to have a degree of friction in a relationship.....it keeps it alive........i've had the apathetic acceptance and it killed me.....
Apathy rots the soul............i'd rather have 1 year of fluctuating extremes than 10 years of mediocre apathy.....
but that's just me........

This is not what I'm talking about. If I touted that kind of thing, I'd BE IN an apathetic relationship right now.

But I think society has been somewhat influenced by soaps, talk shows, etc....that they think love has to be painful. There is enough of a roller coaster in my brain, that I don't want to worry in a relationship, too.

I want devotion. I'm willing to give that in return. I don't need tension in a relationship. Doesn't mean everyone shuts up and doesn't express themself, quite the opposite. Someone with whom you can discuss things rationally and not get all PO'd. Someone who you respect even if their opinion differs from yours.

And numerology: Phht! We are way too complex as human beings to be pigeonholed like that.

This one is for JT Carrey....read the paragraph before Linda's because it explains how the negatives work, as there are postives and negatives to any relationship. If it says Saturn does this, or the moon is this....look at the list above, and Jim's is always on the right. So if it says Saturn conjuction Moon for example on the list above, then you are represented by Saturn and Jim by the Moon in that case. It should correspond to the birthdates in the first line where it lists all the aspects (conjunction, trine, etc)

I don't believe perfection exists. You can get close, but never quite there. It's like Carl Rogers' seventh stage of Process. You can never quite be that fully functioning person.....

Mind you, I don't really want a totally harmonious relationship. I, too, think it sounds a bit.....boring. Friction can be good. It can be challenging but rewarding too.

Buuuuttttt, if you like friction and you get a relationship like that - is it perfection for you?

But I agree, positive friction is good and gives you the buzz that may be missing in another 'more perfect' relationship.

It keeps things more interesting....you can't FEAR conflict, because that keeps things much too boring....it almost reminds me of the saying, no pain, no gain...or something like that...although you have to be careful how you interpret that....

And you can't just sit back and accept everything...I believe there is way too much of that going on in the world.....of course peace IS very important, but it helps to let your feelings/opinions known....vocally at least
