permanently pressed repressed and depressed
Ok. Well I've had my fit of frustration... I guess dreams just don't cut it. I can play at it for a while, then the reality sinks in and taints the beauty of it...I'm no longer satisfied. I need more. Something to believe in. Something to hold on to. A reason to keep going.
Only now it's a new day, and I still want to write it. I just need to be more careful with my heart. I've poured so much of myself into this shit story that I'm enjoying the ranch. I want to be there now. I've got too much of myself invested in it... I can't let go yet. Besides, after Luke gets some money coming in, I think he's going to invest in one of those new inventions they call an automobile. Maybe buy some stocks in 'Ford.'
So on with the show...

What about adding the work Oppressed also?
To the Headline, would that be applicable.
Isn't life at times oppression, whether it's out of work due to writer's strike or self-oppression we put on ourselves when individually we demand personal perfection. What do you think?
I wonder what the Ranch house looks like?

In Canada....
the farmers first put up a shanty(little shack) cleared the land, and if they cleared the land within a certain period of time they could keep the land because of the (grant) for settling in the area, then after the land was worked they would build the main house. I really remember the smell of homemade oatmeal cookies, mmmmm craving them now!
The headline...oh in the topic. Yeah, Cotton wanted to add 'Impressed', and you, 'Oppressed.' This whole business started as 'Just My Luck,' but it was goofier... it went in a radically different direction. Beware of armadillos, they'll trip ya up. I really don't know if I'm writing the tale or if it's writing me. It took on a life of its own, and won't give up.

Fresh milk...
Jayne went out to milk the cow for fresh milk, struggling back through the back door, milk dripping from her face after the bucket splashed and the cowhand made a few misfires. The three relished in the banquet of cookies and milk. (Remember Wylde, you're not alone and we are here for you too that's a bit of what JCO is about)

Ya!
Sounds like my family!
Nicky, I hail from 'the Bruce' himself, I have the Bruce's, the Stewarts, Sutherland, of course, Alpin and MacAlpin, Howard... Shit, now I gotta go look it all up again...
I can't remember them all... Comyn was another, Balliol...
Douglas...see what I mean. Crap! Geneology is a pain... Here's a tripper...HRH 'Longshanks' himself is descended from Alpin...so there was technically a Scot on the throne, but also being descended from William the Conquerer, there was a Norman on the throne...Royal lines are not pure blood. The prince of this country marries a princess from an allying country...It's a mess.
Well that explains my madness...
What're your clans, Nicky?
BACK TO THE RANCH...(yes, that old worn out expression, again.)
We enjoyed our afternoon with Jayne, and caught up on the local goings on. The harvest went well for them this year... she brought us some fruits and vegetables from the cellars. Jarred stuff. Even some peach preserves and blackberry jam. Pickled beets, corn and carrots. Potatoes. We sent her off with the cuts of a bull slaughtered just this morning.
I mentioned hearing the pipes the other evening... I enjoyed them, and her visit. I hope she visits again soon.
I think Nicky and I are making little drip candles for the tree this evening, and she wants to make more bows... Gram's got more cookies mixed and Ma's got chicken baking now.
We were just ridding the dinner dishes when Owen came in, all smiles. I wonder what he's up to... he hung up his coat and hat on the rack and I sent him to wash up. His plate is still warm and waiting...
