I've read this a long time ago and it stuck in my mind:

"If your efforts are seen with indifference do not feel desolated; every day the sun gives a spectacular performance and the great majority of the audience is sleeping."

So true.

Patience is a virtue, one that can't be awarded but must be worked for. Patience is saying no when it's easier to say yes, patience is not giving up even when it hurts, patience can solve a great many problems when it's allied with time, all you have to do is bear through it.

It never ceases to amaze me how many people are seeing treatment for... well there are so many euphanisms (anxiety, depression, loneliness, stess etc) through medication. Quirkey, you are not alone is this. Our country is secretly suffering silently. Some find solace in bar hopping/drinking; counsellors/therapy; and others just disintergrate into otherwise abnormal behavior: eating disordes, cutting, drugs, and subsequently isolation until they have no one and then stop caring and become too sick to get help. It kind of tells you something really wrong in this culture. Too many computer relationships and not enough physical contacts. (Hugs and kisses) I don't think text messaging is all that is cracked up to be... somethings missing  They don't have socials anymore do they? In the 40's they had tea rooms for dancing with big bands. (sigh  ) Sorry, I've always been a romantic stuck in the wrong generation.

No, now it's all computers and blindness.....we rarely see the people we are talking too...and when we do go out we are stuck in our little car capsules....but this will probably change soon....and we'll be seeing each other via video.....of course that is one perspective....but I'm starting to feel that way too.....

No, you're supposed to meet someone in high school, or college.....or at work (although that's a really bad idea, it sucks when you get dumped via email) Everyone works so much and so hard that it's actually difficult to meet someone by the time you're 30.
