July 30, 2010 (limited; expansion from August 6).

Thats what the distributor said yesterday.

I don't think that it's because of the private life of Jim. I mean Dumb and Dumber was made and he was engaged/dating Holly. Then Me, Myself and Irene with Renne. It's a part of life.

Sorry guys, it's just I would like to see the movie and I know a lot of us Americans want to see it but we've been waiting for over a year now possibly because of politics.

Anybody who suddenly finds him/herself in the northern region of the Netherlands on April 22nd is welcome to see the movie with me!
The trailer looks fantastic, and the more I think about it the harder I find it to realize why it keeps being pushed back (in the states). Only thing I'm thinking now is that the sensitivity of the subject may clash with the possibly goofball humor and that offends or confuses audiences.
But whatever the reason is, it sucks for Carrey fans to be disappointed again and again with the release changes.

You know, when this production company stepped up to produce this movie I was pretty excited. But now it seems they don't have the balls to release it after all.

I'm never gonna see this movie.

I might have to move to Europe just to see the dang thing.

Sorry if this sounded angry but I am angry so that seems fit.

Jim was right, Tommy. Its being released in the fall. Consolidated Pictures Group is not distributing it anymore. New Market Films is the new distributor. I changed the date in the first post.

July 30 is the release date if CPG still has the rights. I really hope they they will lose the rights. They have made so many stupid things.

Ugh! It's really not looking very good for this movie in America. It's pretty sad.
It really annoys me how unaccepting people are of change. And I'm not talking about the movie being a gay love story, I'm talking about Jim Carrey playing a gay character.
