I've got a question to anyone from USA/UK/Australia...

Here is where you discuss everything under the sun, just keep it clean.

Scotland is different to England and Wales.......so we're not really the UK when it comes to education.........it's universally accepted that Scottish education is better..( sorry England...lol).......

but we start teaching languages in primary school P6....age 10......we do it on rotation.........they get blocks of French German and Spanish..then when they go to secondary school they choose which one to do..........but they MUST do one..........

however if they are REALLY hopeless then they do a sort of watered down course exploring the culture rather than the language......

i hope that helps........

In short, yes.

I took French in junior high school.

One foreign language is required I think in high school. . . I was homeschooled so that doesn't really apply to me. Plus I can already speak spanish.

I most high schools in America you can choose to take another language of your choice.. Spanish, French, German..
but most public elementary and junior high school do not teach another language. There are private schools that do teach another language
