OK.................if he were interested in Foreign movies they'd have to be a joint American collaboration.............it would be murder to try and learn lines in a Foreign accent.........................
and God, the Ethan Hawke and Julie Delphy film sucked big time..........it's the only movie i've walked out of.............truely atrocious, pretentious crap.................the first wasn't as bad.........
But i'd certainly recommend these two..........
1.Delicattesson................hillarious.......and VERY black
2.Amelie........................beautiful.........
but there are heaps of good funny foreign films........with a particulary black humour which we Europeans tend to lean towards....(in other words we're a sick bunch............lol)
and of course there are numerous British movies........i always found Trainspotting quite amusing......especially the book...........but i guarantee non Scots will find the works of Irvin Welsh murder to read...............

i can't forget this British movie..........'revenge of Billy the kid'.........lol.........it's about an island off the Devon coast where a bunch of inbreds live.........the dad decides his goat is a 'pretty little thing'.....and the result is Billy the kid...............he just wants his father to accept him..........but naturally since he's got the head of a goat his dad is kinda reticent to play 'daddy'...........so Billy goes on a blood bath fest..............it's so sick and black it's unbelieveable............but it's also so funny we just about wet ourselves laughing so hard....................
but it may just be the ropey British sense of humour............
