The Incredible Mr. Limpit

I haven't heard a whole lot on The Incredible Mr. Limpit remake. Last time I heard Jim Carrey was going to be in it. Does anyone have any info on this?

Yes, I do. Sadly, Jim took himself out of the project for reasons unknown unless I missed somthing. The Incredible Mr. Limpet was cancelled in 2001

Well, it's a pretty old movie that has Don Knotts in it. There is this fish and Don Knotts can somehow talk to it... and he's obssesed with fish... I'm not sure about the rest or how he's able to talk to the fish, but, Jim was going to do a remake of the movie and I guess it got cancelled.

This was a great movie when I was a kid, Don Knotts is so funny.
Could a remake work, I don't know, I always love the originals.
But what about a Suspense Comedy.
Where the Famous Person is stalking his/her fans and
takes one thing of each fan, a valued keepsake that only the
Famous Person knows about yet blunderingly looses all of the
keepsakes by some unfortunate event, feels anger, frustration, fear,
sorrow (comediacally) badly about loosing them but secretly there is a hand that keeps stealing the keepsakes that the Famous Person had already stolen, the mystery is Is the Famous Person suspensefully bad, evil or is the 2nd thief more evil but in a comedic way , when the
Famous Person realizes that someone is stealing his fans prized possesions, then the motive changes and he/she is hell bent to find
the 2nd evil/thief meanwhile the fans discover are pissed off due to
the personal possesion (could be favorite underwear, hair clip, picture, pen, blankie, potatoe head) and start communicating
the thefts to each other on the net and while Famous person is side
tracted, fans figure it out and find out the truth.... what do you think the
end should be.??

Yeah, they released all those flyers to theaters and then cancelled it. i saw a flyer for Jim Carrey in the incredible mr limpet on ebay.
