I have a best of the 80's CD in. It has The Pretenders' "On the Chain Gang" and the Escape Club's "Wild, Wild West."

Those make me do a jerky white-girl dance.

Giulio, one of these days I'm going to go looking for one of the records by one of these groups you listen to.

You kind of remind me of a story one of my friends tells. She was listening repeatedly to Linkin Park and her mom came into her bedroom and said, "Honey...is everything ok? You're listening to your angry music." :D

the previous was Morcheeba, Fragments of freedom..
Mariah Carrey is a good artist..I like her songs.

My All-is a heart warming song- :?

I used to have 3 of her CD's but broke 2 cause my neighbor thought we were being loud/I was being loud- :?
From 1995 to 1999 I used to be a president of Mariah's fun club in Russia :?

But now I don't love her music... It is a bit stupid
The fun club must have been somethingelse...
I just have her charmed bracelet cd-even though the songs before this cd were even better!

Oh, now...there's an earworm that I TOTALLY dig!

I heard he sang a good song, I heard he had a style.
And so I came to see him to listen for a while.
And there he was this young boy, a stranger to my eyes.

Strumming my pain with his fingers,
Singing my life with his words,
Killing me softly with his song,
Killing me softly with his song,
Telling my whole life with his words,
Killing me softly with his song ...

I felt all flushed with fever, embarrassed by the crowd,
I felt he found my letters and read each one out loud.
I prayed that he would finish but he just kept right on ...

Strumming my pain with his fingers,
Singing my life with his words,
Killing me softly with his song,
Killing me softly with his song,
Telling my whole life with his words,
Killing me softly with his song ...

He sang as if he knew me in all my dark despair.
And then he looked right through me as if I wasn't there.
But he just came to singing, singing clear and strong.
Thanks Cotton! :)

Oh! I think it is a good possibility to open a singing club there!

let's start!

ladis and gentlemen! Now we are singing the so-o-ong of the-e mo-o-st popular group of all centuries and peoples, Thank u for the music by ABBA!!!!

One-two, one-two-three-four
Mother says i was a dancer before I could wa-alk, m-m,
she says I began to sing long before I could talk, ...
na-na-na-na-na-na, na-na-na-na-na,
who find that not nothing can capture a heart,
like a melody can, pum-pum-pum,
well who ever'it was I'm a fan.
AND ALL TOGETHER!!!!!!
THank you for the music! The songs I'm singigng!
Thanx for all the joy they are bringing!
Who can live without it?
I ask in all honesty-i-i-i
I CAN'T SEE YOUR HANDS!!!!!!
What would life be-e-e-e?
Without a song or a dance what are we?
So
I
say
Thank you for the music
...for...la-la-la-la-la-la (I forgot the words)

Seasons in the sun
goodbye to you my trusted friend
we´ve known each other since we
were nine or ten
together we´ve climbed hills and trees
learned of love and abc´s
skinned our hearts and
skinned our knees

goodbye my friend it´s hard to die
when all the birds are singing
in the sky
now that spring is in the air
pretty girls are everywhere
think of me and i´ll be there

we had joy we had fun we had
seasons in the sun
but the hills that we climbed were
just seasons out of time

goodbye papa please pray for me
i was the black sheep of the family
you tried to teach me right from wrong
too much wine and too much song
wonder how i got along

goodbye papa it´s hard to die
when all the birds are singing in the sky
now that the spring is in the air
little children everywhere
when you see them i´ll be there

we had joy we had fun we had
seasons in the sun
but the wine and the songs like the
seasons have all gone
we had joy we had fun we had
seasons in the sun
but the wine and the song like
the seasons have all gone

goodbye michelle my little one
you gave me love and helped
me find the sun
and every time that i was down
you would always come around
and get my feet back on
the ground

goodbye michelle it´s hard to die
when all the birds are singing in
the sky
now that the spring is in the air
with the flowers everywhere
i wish that we could both be there

we had joy we had fun we had
seasons in the sun
but the hills that we climbed were
just seasons out of time

we had joy we had fun we had
seasons in the sun
but the wine and the song like the
seasons have all gone

we had joy we had fun we had
seasons in the sun
but the wine and the song like the
seasons have all gone

we had joy we had fun we had
seasons in the sun
but the wine and the song like the
seasons have all gone

I'm not guy, but the wistfulness of this song touches me like no other yet.

I am just a poor boy, though my story's seldom told.
I have squandered my resistance,
For a pocketful of mumbles, such are promises.
All lies and jest.
Still a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest.

When I left my home and my family I was no more than a boy,
In the company of strangers,
In the quiet of a railway station, runnin' scared.
Laying low, seeking out the poorer quarters,
Where the ragged people go.
Lookin' for the places, only they would know.

Lie-la-lie ...

Asking only workman's wages I come lookin' for a job,
But I get no offers,
Just a come-on from the whores on Seventh Avenue.
I do declare there were times when I was so lonesome,
I took some comfort there.
Oooh la, la, la ...

And the years are rollin' by me.
They are rockin' evenly.
I am older than I once was, and younger than I'll be.
That's not unusual.
It isn't strange,
After changes upon changes, we are more or less the same.
After changes, we are more or less the same.

Lie-la-lie ...

Then I'm laying out my winter clothes and wishing I was gone,
Going home, where the New York City winters aren't bleedin' me.
Leadin' me, to goin' home.

In the clearing stands a boxer and a fighter by his trade,
And he carries the reminders of every glove that laid him down,
Or cut him 'til he cried out in his anger and his shame,
"I am leaving, I am leaving."
But the fighter still remains.
"When in doubt, tell the truth."

Sarah Mclaughlin Surfacing....with particular focus on a song that makes me cry because it's so beautiful.

Spend all your
Time waiting
For that second chance
For a break that
Would make it okay
There's always some
Reason to feel not
Good enough and
It's hard at the
End of the day
I need some distraction
Oh, beautiful release
Memory seep through
My vains
It may be empty
Weightless and maybe
You'll find some
Peace tonight
In the arms
Of the angel
Fly away from here
In this dark
Cold hotel room
And the endlessness
That you fear
You are pulled
From the wreckage
Of your silent reverie
You're in the
Arms of the angel
May you find
Some comfort here
So tired of
The straight line
And everywhere you turn
There's vultures and
Theives at your back
Still keeps on twistin
Keep on building
The lies that
You make up
For all that you lack
Don't make no differance
Escaping one last time
It's easier to believe
In this sweet
Maddness oh this
Glorious sadness
That brings me
To my knees
In the arms
Of the angel
Fly away from here
In this dark
Cold hotel room
And the endlessness
That you fear
You are pulled
From the wreckage
Of your silent reverie
You're in the
Arms of the angel
May you find
Some comfort here
You're in the
Arms of the angel
May you find
Some comfort here

"When in doubt, tell the truth."

Elton John -- Goodbye Yellow Brick Road (Greatest Hits)

When are you gonna come down
When are you going to land
I should have stayed on the farm
I should have listened to my old man

You know you can't hold me forever
I didn't sign up with you
I'm not a present for your friends to open
This boy's too young to be singing the blues

So goodbye yellow brick road
Where the dogs of society howl
You can't plant me in your penthouse
I'm going back to my plough

Back to the howling old owl in the woods
Hunting the horny back toad
Oh I've finally decided my future lies
Beyond the yellow brick road

What do you think you'll do then
I bet that'll shoot down your plane
It'll take you a couple of vodka and tonics
To set you on your feet again

Maybe you'll get a replacement
There's plenty like me to be found
Mongrels who ain't got a penny
Sniffing for tidbits like you on the ground
