I'm sure that all the characters will be in early 40's, and maybe Jim's character just a little bit old. This would be my dream cast:

David Ghantt - Jim Carrey
Steve Chambers - Mark Ruffalo (this guy is GREAT. He's incredible in every genre - comedies, action, drama - he can do all)
Kelly Campbell - Naomi Watts (amazing actress and that type of woman - beautiful and smart too)
Michelle Chambers - Cate Blanchett (a goddess of acting)

Interesting choices.

I'm not necessarily a fan of Mark Ruffalo, but there is absolutely no denying he's a solid actor ... in serious movies. When he's in a comedy, it doesn't work for me. Timing is the most important thing in comedy, that's not his thing. It works when the comedy is coming from the situation (Avengers), not when it has to come from him. Not a fan of this choice, so far. Doesn't feel right.

Cate Blanchett, she's a chameleon. In everything she does she is amazing. Hard to imagine her in a quirky comedy, but it worked in "Bandits" and "Life Aquatic", so yeah, I wouldn't mind her at all. Naomi Watts, great actress also. She did very well in "I Heart Huckabees" and she was very amusing when she had to be in "King Kong" also. It's the same reason I think of Rachel Weisz who proved with "About a Boy", "The Mummy" and "The Brothers Bloom" that she's able to do anything. And ofcours, Kate Winslet. Is there something she can't? She's fantastic.

Any of them would be great. None of them fit the ages that were mentioned before. As for the friend, I will stick with John Krasinski. And someone who fits him? Amy Adams, she's the most natural actress of her generation and there's nothing she can't pull off.

Thanks Steve . My second option for Steve Chambers is an actor that i really like - Brendan Fraser (George of the jungle, The Mummy, Gods and Monsters etc). I feel sorry for him, because i think it's a decent actor and a really nice guy. On his IMDB page i saw a lot of films in post or pre-production, but...just crapy low-budget indies . I want to see him again in a movie which will be released worldwide. I saw a picture with him and Jim and i think they would fit.

Just read the plot of this real robbery in Wikipedia. Seems great. But how are they gonna make it as a comedy?!! Am very much looking forward to this one...

Any updates ? This movie is supposed to begin filming next month so i think we should hear pretty soon some news about the cast, right ? I watched many Burt Wonderstone interviews with Jim, but no one ask him about Loomis Fargo

It is the same time as "Ricky Stanicky" is expected to begin filming. I am not sure if Jim still plans to do "Loomis Fargo", seems like he has found another project.
