Favorite Olympic Moment

Post by Cheryl Anna »

The olympcs in Athens are starting on 8-13. What is your favorite Olympic moment of all time...

My favorite olympic moment happened twenty years ago. The 1984 Olympics were held here in Los Angeles, and my Dad got tickets for the Soccer game at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on August 11th (my 20th birthday).
We spent time together-just my Dad and me. My two brothers were no where in sight. I had my Dad's attention.
It was a great night-and memory.

Watching the PERFECT DIVE.
I saw the perfect DIVE during the last Olympics.
I watched it over and over again.
It's very rare to see perfection and when you do,
it's AWESOME

My most memorable Olympic moment was in the 1996 Olympic games in Atlanta when in the 100m final our Canadian sprinter Donovan Bailey won the gold medal in a world record time. I remember seein the race like it happened yesterday Bailey was just behind one sprinter, then all of a sudden he seemed to turn some jet on and just power into the lead that entreasured that as the most memorable moment for me. Bringing Canada back onto level ground with the world. Bailey became a big role model for me as well.
