IMAX/Warner Bros. Pictures have updated the official website for Jim Carrey's next movie in theaters "Under the Sea 3D". Jim will be narrating the documentary, which is rated G by MPAA. The site now contains several beautiful wallpapers, buddy icons, takeaway email signatures, a screensaver, a section with games and the first official trailer!
The movie was shot by cinematographer/director Howard Hall, who also did "Deep Sea 3D", which has grossed $75 million to date at the box office since 2006! Hall and his crew went on five filming expeditions from South Australia to the Indo-Pacific to capture unique creatures and eco-systems:
Expedition #1: Papua New Guinea:
January 11, 2008 - February 4, 2008
Expedition #2: Papua New Guinea:
April 1, 2008 - April 22, 2008
Expedition #3: South Australia:
May 20, 2008 - June 9, 2008
Expedition #4: Great Barrier Reef:
July 28, 2008 - August 12, 2008
Expedition #5: Indonesia:
September 26, 2008 - November 9, 2008
Howard Hall and Mark Thrulow shot Behind-the-Scenes footage. The footage has been used to create a series of webisodes documenting the five filming expeditions, they can all be viewed at the site.
A very beautiful site with lots of information and fun facts. Click here to begin your journey. "Under the Sea 3D" opens exclusively in IMAX theaters on February 13, 2009.
