The Riddler Could Be Main Villain In Next Batman Movie

Post by jimliker »

The original plan was to have The Joker return in the next Batman film following The Dark Knight, but with the death of Heath Ledger, that will no longer happen.

Apparently the plan now is to have The Riddler be the top villain. Jim Carrey played The Riddler in Batman Forever.

I don't know if Jim should play The Riddler again for the next one! Still, if Jim is interested in it (depending on what the director wants), maybe he'll bring something new to the character!

But what about Aaron Eckhart's Two-Face being the next villain?

they'll probably have someone else play The Riddler in the next Batman movie.

It's hard to say this but Jim Carrey's Riddler wasn't dark enough to continue on in this series of The Dark Knight. I'm sure they're going to write the script for a much darker side of the Riddler, and I have a feeling it'll be a totally different Riddler than Jim's.

I think Jim will not play the riddler again. I don't see him in this role an other time. It will be very strange to see him again in a new Batman because for the new saga, they 've chosen a new cast (Bale in Batman, Ledger in Joker, Oldman in Gordon etc...). There'll not be Danny de vito playing the pinguin, Tomme Lee Jones as Double Face...
So Jim in The Riddler again, i don't believe it for one second.

If Jim Carrey was asked, I'm sure he'd say yes. Even though he doesn't like the idea reprising a character, I highly doubt this will be the same Riddler as seen in Batman Forever, I can actually guarantee you that.

However, the way they’ve been casting for the new Batman series, they don’t seem to want to use actors that have previously been in a batman movie. They want everything new.

I think it would be a good idea to go after Jim, but another factor holding him down is money.

lol...Jim would have to see it as a charitable act... ..but dontcha think it's time to put the Batman franchise to rest? there's no real scope for innovation left.

Put it to rest? No way, there wasn't a good Batman movie for over a decade until Begins came out. Schumacher screwed everything up, like he does with everything.

Christopher Nolan is making this new Batman series a trilogy, and then you can put it to rest. At least for a while anyways.

I predict Heath Ledger will get an Oscar nomination and possibly win it.

His day is done. Why doesn't someone create an even newer cartoon character, there's gotta be one out there that is more amazing than
BM What about::
Tankman, or Infernoman or Iconman or megaman or Hman(Hbomb)
Everestman, Gargontuanaman, Centre of the Earth Man, Marsman,
Saturnman, Sunman?

I know everyone likes to dig up the past but what about the future?

I think Ledger could be nominate and, why not, win the oscar. It'll be the first post-mortem Oscar. It could be possible because Ledger is amazing in this movie (or at least in the teasers).
But, this is not the topic. The topic is about Jim as Riddler in a new Batman.

It's not the first, I have to look up his name, but there once was an actor who died and still won the Oscar after that.

If he deserves it, he should get it, whether...

he is alive or not. Look at Elvis, he's still prospering post mortem?
Ledger has a daughter doesn't he, I think it would be more appropriate to have somekind of fund for her education or something like that.
My dad lost his dad when he was a baby. It is very difficult when this happens, I think sometimes children wonder where they belong.
Some kind of memorial. If he wins, why not?
