- I made so many wrong choices that in the end I realized what I was missing, he says.
The actor who’s movie “The Number 23” is currently showing in Swedish cinemas states that the change came 5 years ago, when he turned 40.
- For many it’s a crisis, but I call it a renovation. It’s a point where everything falls together in order for you to build everything up again the way you want it, he says when “Aftonbladet” meets him.
“Understand madness”
A part of the building concists of love. Carrey is together with Playboy-model Jenny McCarthy.
But he rather talks about his inner change.
-People think they have to be mad to be able to be artists. But that’s not true. However you have to be understanding to be able to understand madness.
Before Carrey’s press conferences was often a hyperenergetic, desperate hunt for laughs. Now he's camness itself.
- I’ve gone through periods when I haven’t been able to turn off the conversations in my head. I underwent therapy for many years“, he tells.
