That's terrible that us fans have to wait another year for "True Crimes" to be released.
Are they having problems with the distributor? Why is it taking so long? I was just wondering. I'll continue to be a fan, but it's really a disappointment that we have to wait another year for "True Crimes" to be released.
There can be lots of reasons. But that doesn't mean it's a bad thing. They might give it a shot at festivals first. This year just might have been too crowded already. Can be tons of things. I think it's good they confirmed 2018 as the year of release. I thought this one might have gone straight to VOD. Them waiting till 2018 might be a good sign. Maybe means they are trying to find the best date to bring it to theatres. I'm very curious, but I can wait. :)

I'd like to add that it does feel like an eternity though, in some way. His last movie was Dumb & Dumber To in 2014. That's 4 years between that and True Crimes. That's the longest time we ever had to wait for a new movie. And sure, we have The Bad Batch now. But that's still 3 years and only a cameo. In a movie that lots of people will never see or hear of. Hopefully future projects will follow faster again.

Yes it is a long time. You also have to include "I'm Dying Up Here", not that he has an appearance in it, but it has taken much of his time. The ratings are not good, but I guees Jim and the other writers have a plan for a season 2 if it gets renewed.

In the interviews for "I'm Dying Up Here" he was asked about his upcoming projects. He said there was some interesting ones he was considering. But would not mention which scripts had his attention.

The only rumors there have been lately are "Aleister Arcane" and "Mr. Toy". I am not sure if it is a good sign or not that he did not mention any of them in the interviews. Wonder what will be his next movie. I also hope "Ricky Stanicky" still could be possible.

Yup, I kinda forgot about the TV series. I'm afraid a second season won't happen though. Not well received ánd not enough viewers ... That's a deadly combination. Still hope for the best.

My hope is for Arcane to happen. :) And above all curious how his performance in True Crimes will be received.

Dark Crimes ? Kind of... lame, in my opinion. I hope the release date is correct. Wonder when weI'll see the official trailer.

I like the name
The reviews did say it
Seemed darker
The trailers also portray that idea too.
If it says Jim Carrey and True Crimespeople may think its light hearyed
But with the title it
Give u an idea of suspense
Call it what it is

I get why they changed it, I just don't think it's a better fit, given the source material and actual case. But hey, a trailer will be coming for sure now, they better hurry up if they want some people to see this.
