I took my kids to see it yesterday. It wasn't bad, but not great. But a good movie for kids and fans of the video games. Hopefully they'll take more chances with the sequel!

I'll have to watch it again. After my first viewing I thought a 6.5 or 7 would be a pretty fair rating. The acting was really good and the cinematography was excellent. I don't believe that has anything to do with it, Dan. In fact, most reviews mention all the problems with the movie itself, but are very positive about Carrey himself in this role. So it's very unlikely.
