April 7's indeed the new release date. (For now....) But I have a good feeling about this one, so we'll see. It's the two-disc set.

Apparently the delays have been caused by some kind of legal (ie. licensing) matter. Not sure if the problem is on the US or Aussie side of things.

Originally the Eternal Sunshine DVD release date out here was meant to be August '04. That changed to September, October and finally December... at least for the rental version. The retail version was pushed back even further, to January '05, and then February '05. Within the last few weeks, however ...

I hope just about EVERYONE involved gets nominated - Jim, Kate, Charlie, Michel, Valdis (the film's editor)...

Jim doesn't have much Oscar luck, but we have our fingers and toes and eyes crossed. It's definitely his best dramatic performance.
