Sonic 3 - "It's not about the money"
15 Dec 2024 By Eva Araújo (Web correspondent)
Jingle bells, jingles, jingle all the way…
Oh how fun it it will be to run… to theaters on Christmas day!
Not as fast as Sonic but we are just mortals and not super fast hedgehogs. In the meantime the interviews to promote Sonic 3 have continue. This time Jim was interviewed by Comicbook.
He asked Jim if he had named Dr. Robotnik mustache:
"I haven't given him a name but I have given him tetanus shots full set, the whole thing. It's a beast and I'm kind of responsible because I wanted it to be as big as it could be and still try to pull off like a scene where you actually believe the character."
Jim had mention earlier that he had said yes to making the sequel because of money so the journalist asking about how much money to play Stanley Ipkiss and Jimclarify it:
"Oh gosh, you know it has to be the right idea if somebody had the right idea I guess you know it's not really about the money I joke about the money but you can't be definite about these things I said I'd like to retire but you know I think I was talking more about power resting you know, because as soon as a good idea comes your way or a group of people that you really enjoyed working with and stuff, it just things tend to change."
He was asked if he felt this was the end of his run as Dr. Robotnik:
"I really don't want to say anymore you know, I go out on the limb and say these things and then fate makes a liar out of me so who knows."
When asked which characters he love to play one more time. Jim didn't hesitate:
"Oh gosh you know if we could figure out the Grinch but that'll be difficult. You know the thing about it is on the day I had to do that with a ton of makeup and I could hardly breathe and, it was a extremely excruciating process the children were in my mind all the time: "It's for the kids, it's for the kids, it's for the kids!" and now with motion capture and things like that I could be free to do some other things but you know anything's possible."
