Sad day today, reminds me of my mom.
Does anyone else feel this way?

Watching everything on TV just kinda brings back the sadness.

Don't know if there is any way....

I know.... I just thought of it...

Lets's start another story...
we did this awhile ago...

I will base it for today but looking first at the time the event occurred...

Here goes - add after I stop

People stood shocked as the steam like building rubble ballooned the air,
some crying, some searching, some lost, some sitting and stunned.
Would a pheonix arise when the smokey cement dissipated.

Eight years later, what would the world be like any better, any worse,
what sacred pheonix will emerge, a new world, a change to the
economic times, will the pheonix emerge as HOpe?

Please God, let there be hope.

I remember exactly what I was doing when 9/11 happened and I am sure others do as well.

As far as hopes ,my hope has flown away with the wind. :? Just live day by day don't even think about tomorrow.

Now I think of the words WIN & WIT......

:? Yes that's how living now a days has became. Before you could plan your future, but the future now is not worth looking into for the uncertain reality we live in.

i was in the supermarket when i saw the news on their Tv's.......i burst into tears and ran back to my car and put on the BBC World service on the radio.............it felt like the end of the world............. :(
All week we've had a series of TV progs about the tragedy........it's been very thought provoking.............

My concern & question is....

Will and can this ever be prevented again?

Can we ever prepare enough?

Perhaps we need to look in our own backyards, not point fingers
but get back to knowing who our neighbors are and just
helping each other.
I know people who do it now, but sometimes we get so
involved in TV etc that the sociality of the past is gone
and we should be a protective society thinking of how
we can help each other instead of ignoring and not sayiing anything.
I think of the commandment
"Love thy neighbor as thyself"( I don't mean in a nosy way but in a
concerned way)
perhaps if that was more in place today,
abducted children would be found faster,
communities would band together in combined efforts
crime prevention could occur.
Perhaps that commandment is a Safety Commandment

That commandment is one people should honor because there is nothing wrong with helping a neighbor if you can help, it does good to ones soul. I know because we have a neighbor that when she has she gives when she doesn't we give to her, it's really special really.

the tragedy is it can and will happen again. It's not really about what the man on the street thinks............no-one wants to see such ghastly tragedies as 9/11 and 7/7........it's about world leaders, oil and greed, bastardised to be presented in the names of Allah and the West...........
The people of Afghanistan/Pakistan/Iraq etc are just pawns in their leaders game..........as are we.............. :(

I agree, greedy politics and goverments suck!
