I think he will but not in a good way. :?
He's going to raise taxes and bring our troops home in defeat! :(
Sorry. I don't like getting into politics. :x

The fact that he has to raise taxes is not his fault..he is trying to get us out of debt but we will never be out of debt as long as money rules the nation. :?

I don't know, but I'll bet you anything it'll be historic!
and if he does bring our troops home in defeat, at least they'll be home and we won't be wasting any more money, isn't that one of the reasons why the Romans fell?

They fell because their gov was being disloyal causing the people to lose faith. Plus Germanic tribes from the north outnumbered them, caught them off gaurd, and took over when they seized Rome, its capital.

:D i always think it's amazing that when the Roman Empire was conquering the world, building roads, aquaducts, societies....developing law, science etc etc...here in the UK we were still running around in sacks, covered in wode, clubbing each other over the head..........lol....... :D

Obama has the task to clean up all the mess Bush created. His many mistakes had bad consequences for the whole world, such as the ones we can feel now. But there's no way Obama can fix it in his first years. Even if he can, the result will only show after a long time. I just hope people are smart enough to vote for him again. Guess not. If it's not happening fast enough, people do stupid things.

i shouldn't have called Bush an idiot, sorry....i forgot that a president/prime minister etc is only as good as the team behind them..in many ways they are just figureheads. It's the team that pushes the buttons, the leader is really the PR man ......at the very least i hope he opens some minds.

The Republicans it would seem are guilty of not regulating the Democrats tax returns and holiday bonuses. So the Dems will make it all better by spending more until we all have less. No country, no continent will be immune from this new communistic state. Happy now are we?

Oh sorry... I voted for Sarah Palin.

How could he possibly do worse?
Have you not noticed how instantaneous came the "change" of Obama's views once he took office? And it looks a good 180 degrees. Do you want to live in a socialist communistic society or could you, before the end remember how you appreciate your civil liberties and lean back for one nostalgic moment to the democracy that God in His Grace has allowed us.

Thanks for the edit of passionate patriotism... I do love my country. The more edits I get to its defense, the more I see how our democracy is threatened, and in deed, how urgent it is to speak now.

America is MY country, and I not only have the right to defend it, it is my responsibility. There is an excellent line in the Declaration of Independence to this effect.

To those of you here, not American, understand... were it your country, it would be your problem and your passion. I would not only understand, I would lend my support.

Lammy isn't American. I had the right to say, however uneloquent, that her ignorance in the matter is her problem. I continue to believe in Democracy, and capitolism. I believe in America's Constitution, and her Bill of Rights...

I love my country. Love your own.
