Yes, they are very sick. But unfortunately, our society is focused on punishment and not treatment.
Yes, let's get all the sickos off the street. But then what? We do nothing else, because we think that's going to solve the problem.
Guess what? Putting people in jail or prison or focusing on retribution doesn't make my children safe from all the other sickos that walk the street.
If we really want to do something about it, let's try to get rid of the illness that makes them sick. Let's be proactive and not reactive. Let's stop spending money on the trivial and the artificial, like having a great big bash for the Beckhams because they're rich and famous.
To help the victim, you have to help the abuser.
Otherwise, we're not helping anybody.

I agree with you on everything . And these prisoners who comit crimes are in luxury . I am not an I am innocent .
And yes , no treatment what so ever -
Then what is the use of keeping them physicaly away when mentally they have not changed ?

If someone breaks in your house to harm you - you have the right to defend yourself ...

Yes, the law needs to change, doesn't it?
If I want to protect myself from my abusive husband, and fight back, then I risk losing my children -- isn't that awful?

The world is a twisted place.

That's for sure.
The world is consumed with the almighty dollar and commercialism.
Nobody talks about what's really going on. Nobody wants to ask, "why is this happening?"
The only remedy we have is prescription medicine, alcholol and drugs. And you bet your hiney someone is profiting from that.
Mental illness is big bucks in this part of the world -- why on earth should we fix it?! It should be like a franchise -- or something to invest in. Forget about stocks and bonds -- put your money on Tylenol or Labatt's Blue.
