If you haven't seen this movie then by all means, rent it! I loved it. Gary Oldman was wonderful as Dracula. Anthony Hopkins played an excellent Van Hesling. The book is also fantastic. Dracula was actually a real person, and the movie delves into a little of his past.

I've only seen one skit of Jim as a vampire. It was the one with Jamie Foxx dressed up as a woman. I thought it was pretty funny.

I havent seen the film. But I have heard a 10 hour long audio book of it. It was on the radio on a bank holiday.

Along with The Silence of the Lambs this is my favorite movie of
all time. In a way, you sort of feel bad for Dracula. Which is a weird approach to such an evil character. Mina and Lucy are really hot. This movie's got a lot of nudity.

Plus Gary Oldman is pretty frickin' fine as Dracula, the scene where he feeds Mina, just wo.......... isn't hot in here? :? :P
The cinematography also really shows that it's based on a book, just how dramatically it's shot! We saw in my cinema class and I was dancing around, I was so glad! :D
And I dunno, I feel Jim would have been great as Renfield! ;)

Yes. Gary Oldman is a magnificent actor. He basicially became Sid Vicious in "Sid and Nancy." I also loved him in the "Fifth Element." Loads of fun. Anthony Hopkins looked a lot like the way I pictured Van Hesling to look when I first read the book. The actor who played Dr. Seward was also cast wonderfully. Jim woulld make an excellent Renfield. The book, in some ways seems more gorey than the movie. I mean, the part where Renfield lay on the floor with a broken back covered with blood was really graphic.

I loved when Van Hesling said when he was asked about "poor" Lucy. He said something like, "Well, we drove a stake through her heart and then cut off her head!"

Yeah with that big close-up on the meat, yum! Van Helsing is one excentric bastard! lol... And the book's MORE violent? Holy.... I mean the movie's already pretty graphic! Gotta read it, I have it at home actually!

Bit of trivia : the make-up artist is the same that worked on The Mask...

I'll say. How about when he starting dry-humping Athur's leg & telling him that they better save Lucy's soul before she becomes the Devil's Bitch? Lol. I was shocked to find out that a sequel is in the works.[/quote]
