Can somebody help me?

What is Progressive scan mode? My dvd player says it is in progressive scan mode and I can't seem to get it to stop. I tried everything. I even unplugged the damn thing but nothing worked. I chatted with makers of the dvd player online and they didn't help me at all. All they did was give me a damn number to call.

What exactly does the DVD do in progressive scan mode?

Does it spin out of control and get louder? One of my dvd players used to do that and there was nothing I could do to stop it. The DVD player has usually broken if it does this. Turns out in my player that another DVD was caught in the back of it. It was Ace 2

when I put a DVD in you can hear the it playing(at normal speed) but you cannot see it. All you can see is a blue screen that says progressive scan mode. I have tried pressing all buttons but nothing works. grrr

Ah, I have had that too, but I can't remember how to sort it out. Can't you ring the company, or do you live near an electrics shop? Somewhere like that can give you advice.

Have you tried another disc? Or have you tried going into the menu, and seeing if something has changed?

It happens with all the dvds and CDs that I have.
I pressed the set up button and it said set up on the player but the progressive scan mode screen stays on the tv. But you are right I am going to have to call them. I hope they can help me tho cause the person from the company that I chatted with couldn't.
